Job Summary
Junior Art Directors are responsible for the visual style and images in magazines, newspapers, product packaging, and social media outputs. They help and support the team to create the overall design and direct others who develop artwork or layouts.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that their clients’ desired message and image are conveyed to consumers
- Responsible for the overall visual aspects of an advertising or media campaign
- Determine how best to represent a concept visually
- Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use
- Develop the overall look or style of a publication, an advertising campaign, or a theater, television, or film set
- Coordinate the work of other artistic or design staff, such as graphic designers
- Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by other staff members
- Talk to clients to develop an artistic approach and style
- Coordinate activities with other artistic and creative departments
- Develop detailed budgets and timelines
- Present designs to clients for approval
- Any other support duties required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience
- Creativity and vision
- Project management skills
- Graphic design skills
- Developing creative standards
- Proficiency with illustration tools
- experience using desktop publishing software including Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
- Proficiency in presentation software such as PowerPoint, Keynote etc.
- Fluent, written and spoken, proficiency in Cantonese and English
- Good time management
- Organized, task-oriented and ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Have an eye for detail and interpersonal skills
