We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Accounts Receivable team. You will be utilizing your excellent customer service and analytical skills to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our AR collections. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about maintaining strong relationships with customers and the sales teams while helping to achieve the AR team goals. Your primary responsibility will be collections, but you will also play a key role in supporting AR processes and assisting other finance teams as needed.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 1 year accounting experience
• Experience in AR collections preferred 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must since the role requires constant communication with customers and internal stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork skills in a growing team.
• Strong attention to detail and proficient analytical skills
• A knack for learning things on your own and quickly adapting to new environments

What you can expect:

• Assist in managing the collections process by following up on customer payments and coordinating with the sales team for necessary information
• Respond to customer emails regarding billing and collection matters
• Help identify and facilitate the resolution of customer disputes on a timely basis, working with sales, customer success and other internal stakeholders when necessary
• Assist in managing the AR inbox and distribute emails efficiently among team members
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer success teams, to resolve customer issues and improve billing and collections processes
• Help with the recording and reconciliation of customer payments
• Assist in projects related to the automation and process improvements of the AR team
• Provide support to other finance teams as needed

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $59,000 CAD and $79,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to, annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the US.
