About the role:
- The Jr. Engineer shall be responsible in performing improvements by reviewing existing processes and recommend mechanical changes thru new mechanical design, modification and piece part upgrades.
What you will do:
- Pursue continuous improvements, efficiency and cost effectiveness thru equipment/machine and process capability studies.
- Develop improvement strategies by creating new part/assembly design and drawings following standards and procedures.
- Performs qualifications, evaluation and executive summary reports ensuring conformance to specifications and documentations.
- Collaborate with other groups/sites to identify high volume, high-cost machine parts that can be second sourced for targeted cost savings.
- Create standard procedure and design library for cross site references and usage.
- Provide/share technical information for improvements, breakthroughs and quick wins to colleagues and other sites as necessary.
- Support external customers on minor mechanical support and improvements.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics.
- At least 1 year experience on any Engineering field related to a Semiconductor industry is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to app.
- Knowledge in any CAD software (e.g. Solidworks, AutoCAD Inventor etc.)
- Strong Mechanical Design foundation (GD&T, Engineering & Strength of Materials, Machine Design)
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Knowledgeable in using basic measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer; knowledge in using any vision measuring system is an advantage.
- Knowledge in any statistical tool and exposure to a semiconductor environment is a plus.
- Good problem solving and presentation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
