Java Team Leader, Applications Group
The R&D Applications Group is responsible for developing Skybox software applications. The development environment is a Java/Spring Boot/Linux based.
We are looking for a highly motivated, sharp and hands-on Team Leader, to lead and manage a development team of Server-Side software engineers. This role offers challenges across a wide variety of responsibilities.
The Job main responsibilities are:
· Lead and inspire a team of Software Engineers, responsible for enriching and improving our Change Manager capabilities.
· Maintain at least 30% hands-on contribution.
· Design and implement solutions in Change Manager space including provisioning changes to network devices and Cloud environments.
· Responsible for delivery of multiple complex simultaneous development projects from design through to release
· Capable of understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level with emphasis on performance, scalability and concurrency
· Design and implement solutions for integration of IT service management systems with Skybox platform
· Bring new technologies and concepts into the Skybox platform to address challenges of modern network architectures
Required skills and experience:
· B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent experience
· Excellent inter-personal skills
· 5 years of server-side development experience in Java
· At least 3 years of experience as a Team Leader (2-3 team members)
· Highly proficient in software architecture and OOP principles
· Experience working with Agile methodologies, using CI/CD processes
· Experience working with Hibernate, Spring, REST API
· Experience working in public cloud environment (AWS)
· Having a customer-oriented attitude
· Linux/UNIX command line experience
· Background in networking and security – a major advantage
