Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Java Developer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Develop, test, and maintain Java applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with teams to design software solutions based on system requirements and architecture guidelines.
- Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend functionalities using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including writing efficient queries and optimizing database performance.
- Perform unit testing and support integration testing efforts to validate software functionality.
- Assist in the deployment of applications in cloud or on-premises environments.
- Stay updated with the latest Java technologies and recommend enhancements to improve existing systems.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Must have 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Must have deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Must have hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Oracle Forms.
- Must have previous hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based applications.
- Must have previous experience with Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Must have previous experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Must have deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Must be familiar with Agile development methodologies and DevOps principles.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be willing and able to work Eastern Standard (EST) Hours.
Preferences:
- Active Public Trust Clearance or above.
- Knowledge of security best practices for software development.
- Experience in message queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Java Developer (OCP), AWS Certified Developer – Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Developer (CKAD).
