About the Role :

This role will have a large influence on the Enterprise Architectural Frameworks, Application Components across various product lines and Public Cloud approach for the company. The role combines superior technical knowledge, architecture principles & standards, best practices, enterprise patterns & frameworks and development process knowledge to bring about innovative process changes and shifts in work culture.

About the team :
FIS Modern Banking Platform (MBP) is cloud-enabled, componentized, container-based processing solution designed with API-first functionality. Plug-and-play components provides a multitude of configurable features for banks to have flexibility and speed to innovate into the future. The cloud first Java-based solution is purpose-built for next generation modern banking, designed to meet the unique business and product needs of individual retail and commercial financial organizations across all lines of business.

The Enterprise Architecture team of MBP drives the technology, architecture, tools and processes across the development, implementation, operational and support practices. MBP is built for cloud platforms including private FIS cloud and public clouds like Azure, AWS, etc. 

What you will be doing :

• Document and publish appropriate architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns and frameworks.
• Define, construct, support and provide training for enterprise frameworks. Defines and maintains a library of functional component models within and across FIS product lines.
• Documents functional product solutions for key FIS product strategy and product management initiatives leveraging defined functional component model libraries and the defined product line architecture roadmap.
• Maintains a catalogue of reusable functional application components consumable across applications and product lines.
• Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements.
   

What you bring :

• 10 to 15 Years of demonstrated experience in modern software application technologies such as Java-based software architectures, Spring frameworks meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with relational (and/or hierarchical) databases such as Oracle and Postgress
• Experience in building On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP), batch and reporting systems. Experience in using Unified Modelling Language (UML) for Object Modelling
• Experience in functional programming using Java
• Experience in building robust and scalable infrastructure architectures (telephony systems, network services, web farms, multiple-node systems, etc.)
• Require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices
