We are looking for a Payment Processing Analyst who specializes in ACH, checks, and wires processing. This role involves reviewing transactions for manual review decisioning, performing Enhanced due diligence, and verifying transactions to ensure compliance and company policies. You’ll focus on fraud prevention for ACH, checks, and wires ensuring that everything is processed within the agreed SLA and OKRs.Your expertise will be critical in maintaining secure and efficient payment operations.
About the Role:
- Handle ACH, check, and wire transactions with expertise, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Review and assess transactions for manual decisioning.
- Ensure timely processing within agreed-upon SLAs and OKRs, and in line with company policy and procedures.
- Perform enhanced due diligence and verification to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Minimize the risk to the business and the customer with a strong focus on process controls and fraud detection
- Cross-collaborate with internal teams to assist with customer inquiries.
Requirements for the Role:
- Strong experience with ACH, check, and wire payment processing within agreed SLAs and OKRs, and in line with company policies and procedures
- Expertise in fraud prevention and risk management related to ACH, checks, and wires.
- Perform regular account activity reviews after account openings to mitigate fraud risk.
- Minimize the risk to the business and the customer with a strong focus on process controls and fraud detection
- Familiarity with Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and transaction verification processes.
- Ability to make informed decisions based on transaction reviews.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within SLAs and OKRs.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Identify process improvement initiatives for existing systems and processes and effectively liaise with the Development team to execute the projects successfully
- Assist Customer Support team in resolving customer queries related to Payments.
- Effectively complete ad-hoc tasks and initiatives as directed across the business.
- Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in business, economics, finance, or other related disciplines
- 1-2 years of experience working in the financial services/banking industry
- Ideally, specific experience working in U.S. markets, in a fin-tech/tech company, or both (technical knowledge is a plus)
- Previous experience in transaction monitoring/payment processing would be an added advantage
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
