Position Summary
The Systems Analyst supports the planning, implementation and operation of IT solutions. They conduct technical analysis and coordination to meet IT objectives, under direction of the manager and other stakeholders. They provide tactical input regarding systems development. They work with subject matter experts to define system specifications or stories for technical requirements, and support QA activities. They conduct fit-gap analysis, establishing necessary artifacts. They conduct technical analysis of aspects of the solution such as data, storage, compute, or integration. They analyze and recommend process changes.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Analysis: Elicits and documents solution requirements through various techniques (e.g.interviews, storyboards, site visits, product analysis, etc.) Documents specifications on data flow, business process and technical process flow. Presents efficient and innovative system level solutions. Leverages protocol standards for requisite approval of requirements, design and deployment. Ensures tactical aspects of technical design are sound, efficient and compliant. Participates in unit and system testing. Ensures detailed installation and deployment plans are accurate and executed properly. Ensures deployment plans address standards for change management policies, including back-out planning. Provide technical guidance to developers as needed.
  • Relationship Management - Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, project teams, and internal IT teams. Achieve customer trust and alignment through explaining and translating the technical aspects of solutions. Establish a core understanding of business functions and processes.
  • Operations: Use technical acumen to analyze systems performance and propose proactive changes if/as needed. Ensure solution delivery deployments establish and execute a lifecycle maintenance plan.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Keep abreast of technology, industry and business trends to ensure that optimal technologies are being considered in the planning and delivery processes.


Minimum Requirements

  • Five years of related functional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.
  • Strong communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill set, and able to translate between technical and non-technical concepts.
  • Strong Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results
  • Demonstrated strong business and technical acumen.
  • In depth knowledge of development technology as well as industry software and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and measure the resulting value.
  • Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build subject matter and tools expertise, and drive consistency in processes.
  • Experience and understanding of core IT Service Management functions, such as Change Management and Incident Management.

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience programming with Java, Python, Visual Studio and C++.
  • Ability to write Oracle SQL scripts.
  • Windows and/or Unix/Linux server experience.
  • Utility, Finance and/or Risk Industry experience.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $69,700.00 to $99,100.00 per year

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
