Job Description

Postscript is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician/Specialist to join our IT team. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to build their career in IT with a strong focus on macOS and Apple hardware. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to, triaging, and resolving IT Help Desk tickets, assisting with day-to-day IT requests, and providing technical support to end users. You will also manage basic administrative tasks in various IT systems, such as Google Workspace, Slack, and other tools.

Primary duties

  • Respond promptly to and resolve IT Help Desk tickets, escalating issues as needed.
  • Triage incoming IT requests and prioritize based on urgency and impact.
  • Provide technical assistance to end users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Perform onboarding and offboarding tasks, including setting up and deactivating user accounts in various systems (Google Workspace, Slack, etc.).
  • Assist with managing and maintaining basic IT administrative tasks, such as account configurations, password resets, and user permission changes.
  • Support the deployment, setup, and maintenance of company hardware, primarily focusing on Apple computers and peripherals.
  • Document and update the internal knowledge base's technical processes, solutions, and configurations.
  • Provide friendly and effective communication to end users to ensure a positive IT support experience.

What We’ll Love About You

  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or related technical role.
  • Experience troubleshooting macOS, Apple hardware (MacBooks, iMacs, etc.), and related peripherals.
  • Familial knowledge of IT SaaS systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Jira (experience with additional tools is a plus).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
