About the Role
We are searching for a smart, curious, and organized IT leader to manage and grow our talented IT team.
In this role, you will collaborate with departments, executives, and employees across the business to ensure our IT department is running optimally. You should have strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to dive deep and form conclusions, and have a passion to improve workplace experience across Employee Navigator. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading IT Helpdesk functions resulting in measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
The optimal candidate is an experienced and engaging professional who will excel within a collaborative culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – not afraid to dive deep into details and take ownership. They should also understand the nuance of being approachable, while at the same time consultative– providing direction/recommendations and fostering transparent relationships. Our ideal candidate will keep up-to-date on all trends and technology in the industry, bring new ideas to both the team and company, and lead by example. Does this sound like you?
Please note: This is an onsite role coming into our Bethesda office 5 days a week.
Here’s What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Ensure security across all aspects of IT management
- Lead and mentor the IT technical support team, fostering a culture of security and continuous improvement
- Implement inventory tracking and monitoring systems for our ever-growing and frequently replaced hardware
- Lead projects to upgrade existing systems and integrate new solutions that are user-friendly for employees
- Oversee IT support functions to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance security and efficiency
- Stay informed about the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to the IT strategy
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
- Oversee the build-out of new office spaces
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience managing or leading the IT function preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and best practice security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to confidently communicate and collaborate directly with high-profile executives, including the CEO.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure portals, as we are a Microsoft-based organization.
