Role Overview


The IT Specialist III is a senior-level role that ensures seamless IT operations for our local office and employees while contributing strategic insights to drive innovation and efficiency. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, leading process improvements, providing exceptional customer service, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. As a key leader within the IT team, you will play a critical role in identifying and implementing advanced IT solutions to support the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address IT needs, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Provide expert-level customer service by responding to and resolving advanced technical support requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues, acting as a point of escalation for junior team members
  • Manage and optimize IT operations for the local office, including designing and maintaining IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless connectivity
  • Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing solutions to enhance IT efficiency and effectiveness
  • Document processes, solutions, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and team development
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, providing strategic recommendations for tools and solutions to enhance IT capabilities
  • Mentor and guide junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related field
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across hardware, software, and networks
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement initiatives and mentoring team members
  • Advanced proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications
  • In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering growth within the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles
  • Experience with Office 365, Entra, Sharepoint, Okta, AWS, Powershell scripting, Automation, and AI preferred
