Job Description
Position Name: IT Specialist I – GSD.
Mandatory Skills:
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills
- Experience with IT Project deliveries & technical guidance of teams.
- Good understanding of cloud concepts. Experience with Azure cloud desired.
- Knowledge of end-to-end IT Infrastructure architecture. Should have the focus towards technologies and their dependence on each other.
- Good knowledge on setup and troubleshooting of container technologies is a must.
- CKA and DCA certifications would be desired.
- Sound knowledge of server environments both Linux & Microsoft Windows Server (Server 2016 R2, 2019) Client OS (Windows 10) (MCSA & RHCSA certifications)
- Sound Knowledge of Virtualization, VMware ESXi 7 & above (VCP certification preferred) and storage technologies.
- Specific experience with Nagios OP5mon would be an added advantage. Experience with other IT monitoring tools would also help.
- Experience in monitoring and resolving hardware issues relate to server & client hardware. Experience with HP Server hardware would be an added advantage.
Secondary Skills:
- Knowledge of Networks & Cisco technologies would be an added advantage.
- Experience with VEEAM or other backup products.
Primary Roles & Responsibility:
- Monitoring health of Datacenters worldwide & taking corrective actions.
- Support virtualization & network related topics.
- Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues & escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
- Monitoring and maintaining local inventory of hardware & Software.
- Experience in a fast pace 24X7 environment, need good time management, solid communication skills, and quick response.
- Excellent organizational, and support case management skills. Successful communicator at all levels using all media, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience providing end-user support in a high availability, mission critical support operation. Managed Services Support experience is a plus.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the organization.
- Strong knowledge of standard hardware & software configurations, Storage and Computing preferred.
- Demonstrates skill, knowledge and understanding of company, products, job duties, and appropriate work methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of IT areas, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- ITIL or other IT service management certifications are a plus.
- OEMs certifications like VCP, CKA, DCA are desired.
