Based in the National Capital Region, Pivot Path Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and management consulting firm that offers enterprise IT solutions, strategic planning, organizational development, and business transformation services to help customers adapt and thrive in changing market conditions. Pivot Path Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT & SharePoint Administrator whose role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and the effective management of our SharePoint environment, which serves as a key collaboration and information-sharing platform within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven experience in IT administration, and specialized expertise in managing and optimizing SharePoint systems. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities: IT Administration

Systems and Network Management
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and security protocols.

User Support and Account Management
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts across internal systems, ensuring appropriate permissions and role-based access controls.

IT Security and Compliance
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to safeguard company data.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards and frameworks, such as NIST or CMMI.

Vendor and Asset Management
- Manage IT equipment inventory, procure new assets, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Track IT-related expenses to optimize the IT budget.
SharePoint Administration

Site Management and Customization
- Administer and maintain the company’s SharePoint environment, including site creation, customization, and optimization.
- Collaborate with teams to design workflows and features that enhance collaboration and productivity.

Content and Permission Management
- Organize and maintain SharePoint libraries and content repositories for easy access and compliance.
- Manage user permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access to SharePoint resources.

Integration and Training
- Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise tools and systems to improve business processes.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on using SharePoint effectively.
Qualifications:Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration and at least 2 years of experience in SharePoint administration.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of network and system administration (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365).
- Expertise in SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server, including site design, content management, and workflows.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and IT compliance standards.
- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
