Project Manager

In this role you manage technology projects of various sizes and complexity. You are responsible for ensuring that projects are completed successfully, on time, within budget and scope. Project Manager play a critical role in coordinating teams, managing tasks, and maintaining project organisation. We expect you to have good communication skills in English and the ability to manage challenging situations. You are independent and self-initiative to carry out the projects assigned to you.

About the team

As a member of the Front Office Solutions team within Sanoma Business Technology, you report to the Head of FrontOffice Solution. The teams and team members are based in different countries where Sanoma Learning has an operating companies. This result oriented team works with a high degree of independence and responsibility. You will work with professional colleagues in an informal, dynamic and pleasant working atmosphere.

Key job responsibilities

  • Responsible of project management tasks in different project and workstreams
  • Manages the activities and people associated with the project as well as the success of that project
  • Defines project schedules, plans and leads project activities
  • Manages project implementation, reporting, and performance
  • Manages project stakeholders and ensures that their needs and concerns are identified and met
  • Ensures project deliveries on time, within budget and scope
  • Assists with development and oversight of programming and testing for projects
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancements and refinements to standards and processes
  • Makes sure that project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately
  • Drive centralized and harmonized solutions

Job requirements

You are:

  • A strong communicator and team player experienced in Agile way-of-working (SAFe) and project management area
  • A good sparring partner for development teams as well as process experts/key persons 
  • Enthusiastic to drive strategic changes to the operations of our development team and stakeholders
  • Self-starter, working effectively and independently 
  • Able to multi-task and establish priorities in good relation with key persons 

You bring:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in e.g. Computer Science or Business Information Management
  • At least three years knowledge and proven experience of project management
  • Knowledge and experience of change management
  • Knowledge about tools: Miro, Confluence and Jira
  • Experience of project management tools
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Knowledge and experience on stakeholder management
  • Fluency in English language 
  • You work from a country where Sanoma has an office (Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Netherlands, Spain, Norway). Especially candidates based in Spain are invited to apply.
