All about this role:
The IT Project Manager has an exceptional opportunity to lead IT project deliveries and partner with functional project managers to support the North American Business Area (BA). Key areas of focus include: Factory & Supply Chain Operations; Sales/Customer & Consumer Care; and Core IT Infrastructure.
What you’ll do:
- Project Planning
You will be responsible for leading collaboration with the IT and Business teams to establish project plans including scope, resources, timeline and funding. You will also be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with 3rd party IT vendors and suppliers, as these partnerships are instrumental to our overall success in project execution and delivery. The results of these planning efforts will be leveraged to secure the approval of the project, from the North America Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Project Execution
You will be responsible for Leading the IT project team in overall project execution, leveraging standard project management tools. Key area of focus include:- Project Plan: Ensuring detailed project planning tasks are documented and tracked, leveraging tools like MS Project.
- Project Requirements: Facilitating project related workshops to ensure proper requirements are documented and approved by the key stakeholders.
- Status Reporting: Facilitating regularly scheduled status reports with the core project team.
- Financial Management: Project financial tracking & reporting, including budget, actuals and forecast.
- Risk and Issue Management: Proactively documenting and managing project relate issues and risks throughout the project.
- You will also partner with business functional team leaders to:
- Ensure IT and business project activities are appropriately aligned, enabling the overall success of the project
- Prepare and deliver regularly scheduled steering committee updates to Executive Leadership.
Who you are:
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the project objectives and inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and promote the project goals and objectives to the stakeholders and team members.
- Strong business acumen, including industry and domain specific knowledge of the organization. Familiar with industry trends and innovation.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills in an environment with high competition for resources.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
- Ability to develop projects and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of project planning tools, such as Microsoft Project with evidence of practical application.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in an IT or business functional role
- 5+ years of overall IT project, program, or portfolio experience, including leadership roles within IT deployment or functional area.
- Demonstrated experience in leading communications with key internal customers and/or executive management.
- This role is based in the Electrolux Charlotte office. Travel requirements will be less than 20% based on the needs of the projects.
