Location: Newcastle

Competitive Salary

Working hours: Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week (availability for occasional travel abroad)

Holidays: 21 days holidays (increasing to 23 days after 1 years’ service) plus bank holidays

As an IT Project manager, you will play a crucial role managing the demand coming from the business area and acting as an interface with IT teams. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand business needs, facilitate the development of IT solutions, and drive project success through effective relationship management.

Role Description

Business Demand and Process Understanding:

  • Work very close to business to understand their needs, help to define the feature and in coordination with IT teams, sizing of request and aligned with budget process.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the main processes within the Finance, MKT and Sales Areas to identify synergies and improvements.

  • Provide support during complex projects or business process changes, particularly in the Inception/Discovery phase and UATs.

  • Budget follow up across the year.

  • Help to build the list of initiatives for next year during budget period

Project Support and Management:

  • Leading project inception and definition phase.

  • Be part of the project across the different phases, mainly testing, and closure.

  • Help update and maintain the system map as a guidance tool for countries, facilitating consistent development practices.

  • Provide support in completing reports for Steering Committee.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Serve as a facilitator between business areas (Finance, MKT and Sales Areas) and IT, ensuring effective communication and understanding of project status and requirements.

  • Provide information and support to country business areas for potential enhancements or projects being undertaken in other countries.

  • Conceptualize new ideas and initiatives to enhance business processes.

  • Raise new strategic demand coming from business areas and hep understand the priorities.

Skills:

  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different countries.

  • Customer and result-oriented mindset to ensure business and IT alignment with the needs of various stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective communication between business units and IT teams.

  • Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with different stakeholders.

  • Proficient in negotiation skills to navigate complex project requirements and agreements.

  • Strong communication, Spanish is desirable

Behaviour:

  • Demonstrates resilience and maintains composure in stress situations and when facing heavy workloads.

  • Methodical and organized approach to managing projects and tasks efficiently.

  • Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing potential issues or challenges.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the main processes within the organization, facilitating better synergies in development efforts and support for both business and IT needs.

  • Proficiency in navigating complex projects or business process changes, particularly in the inception/discovery phase, to ensure alignment with business requirements.

  • Strong technology background and process oriented.

  • Experience in the implementation and optimization of the Salesforce platform

  • IT or Consultancy background and project management is required

  • Educated to degree level in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Systems / IT Engineering or Industrial Engineering (preferable)
