IT PMO Program/Portfolio Manager
What can you expect?

Responsible for supporting and advising for highly complex IT programs consisting of multiple projects. Assists in developing program strategy, supporting business case and required program plans. Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, resources and budgets as needed based on business needs. Communicates program strategy, direction and changes with IT-PMO and IT leadership and program resources.

Responsible for delivering all programs and projects on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements. Responsible for tracking project milestones, anticipating issues and recommending adjustments to business and IT leadership. Responsible for the quality and compliance of the overall Programs.

Also supporting Quality, Training and Process in the IT PMO department to define, rollout and manage the processes. Will be responsible for training of the Project Management Tool as well as the IT PMO Processes. Will be responsible for looking at quality issues in the processes, tools and teams and help to fix it. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the development and delivery of IT PMO training and knowledge management areas, continually reporting key adoption metrics, providing continuous improvement opportunities, and marketing IT PMO processes and capabilities. This manager must be effective at working across the IT organization and able to lead and facilitate discussions, as well as, leading and supporting people from different areas.

What will your responsibilities be?

Lead and supports the different IT Programs and make sure that the compliance is met in the different projects.

  • Support a team which is responsible for quality and training requirements to promote adherence to IT PMO processes and methods.
  • Support the implementation and updates to all PMO training materials and quality metrics.
  • Market adherence to PMO processes and solutions utilizing simplified communications.
  • Communicate and promote IT PMO branding utilizing the implemented tools and enabling IT wide collaboration and dashboard reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT/business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify quality and training
  • Help to develop and implement PMO quality and training roadmaps aligned with overarching IT PMO strategies.


Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

  • 3-5 years related IT PM experience; preferably in a large, global organization.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading projects or support teams related to the role.
  • PMI PMP & ACP certification desired.
  • Project/program management skills with experience in organizing, prioritizing, planning, and executing projects from definition through implementation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytic, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Cultural adaptability. Virtual and remote team management ability. Independent and innovative spirit. Flexible and responsiveness to input.
  • Thorough understanding of resource planning, scope control, risk and issue management. 
  • Ability to facilitate training requirements definition for complex business applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task and perform in a very fast paced environment.
  • Very strong collaboration, negotiation, and influence capability required - ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix organization within a multi-national company.
  • Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to set strategy, inspire others and deliver results.
  • Ability to manage across functions and successfully engage and influence others outside the area of control.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
