Your Role
As an IT Operations Specialist, you will support Gensler’s LATAM Region by assisting the Regional IT Director and local IT Managers in overseeing IT operations, compliance, and quality standards. You’ll manage budgets, vendors, and IT projects while ensuring adherence to global standards and driving operational excellence.
What You Will Do
- Assist the Regional IT Director in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and strategies.
- Develop and maintain IT procedures, policies, and documentation.
- Identify and resolve issues, driving innovation and IT best practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Monitor compliance with processes, standards, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Track and manage IT budgets, procurement, and asset inventory.
- Establish vendor relationships and oversee contracts.
- Analyze service desk metrics and recommend improvements for efficiency.
- Ensure infrastructure changes align with global standards and perform regular audits.
- Drive the adoption of SCRUM methodology with Azure DevOps.
- Manage Costa Rican Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca) processes and related audits.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT operations management experience in professional services or similar industries.
- Proven experience in geographically diverse, matrix-based operations.
- Project management training, certification, or coursework is required.
- Strong project management and staff mentoring skills.
- 100% bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Certifications in ITIL v4 and/or Scrum Master are a plus.
- Familiarity with Costa Rican Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca) regulations is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure, ensuring high customer satisfaction
