Salary Range: $85000-$95000/year

OVERVIEW 

Verdani Partners is seeking an IT Operations Manager and Systems Administrator who will oversee the company’s IT systems, networks, servers, and operational software applications. They ensure these systems operate smoothly and efficiently to meet the organization's needs. This role focuses on issue remediation, workflow improvement, service performance enhancement, and resource optimization. It involves overseeing outsourced IT infrastructure services to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of technological systems. IT Operations Managers coordinate daily technical maintenance with long-term operational planning, often acting as a bridge between external IT service providers and senior management. Their expertise is vital in minimizing system downtime, optimizing IT processes, and aligning IT infrastructure with business objectives. As technology rapidly evolves, IT Operations Managers play a key role in driving innovation and adapting to new technological trends to maintain a competitive edge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary: 

  • Perform hands on System Administration of Verdani IT Systems and SaaS tools. 

  • Analyze organizations technology stack, build and maintain each software SOP. 

  • System Oversight: Managing and maintaining the company's IT systems, networks, servers, and software applications to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Issue Remediation: Addressing and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime.

  • Workflow Improvement: Enhancing workflows and service performance to optimize resource use and efficiency.

  • Team Management: Coordinating team of IT professionals, both internal and external, while offering guidance, support, and training as necessary.

  • Security Management: Ensuring the security of IT systems to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.

  • Operational Planning: Coordinating day-to-day technical maintenance with long-term strategic planning to align IT infrastructure with business objectives.

  • Liaison Role: Acting as a bridge between the IT department and senior management, the Technology Advisor, and facilitating communication and understanding.

  • Innovation and Adaptation: Staying updated with technological trends and driving innovation to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Resource Optimization: Efficiently managing IT resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal performance.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that IT operations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

We will consider candidates who demonstrate a combination of the required and preferred experience, as well as a proactive and positive "Can Do" attitude in their professional approach. 

Required: 

  • At least five years of relevant experience, such as in IT operations, IT infrastructure or IT service management. 

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field 

  • Leadership and organizational skills 

  • Excellent communication skills 

Preferred: 

  • Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing 

  • Comfortable supporting multiple concurrent projects 

  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis 

  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR) 

  • AI Integration support 

PLATFORMS & SOFTWARE 

Required: 

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft platforms and SaaS based products 

Preferred: 

  • ERP/ERM platforms 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

During the execution of job responsibilities, the employee should expect the following conditions and demands associated with the role:

  • Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer

  • Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers 

  • Occasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary 

  • Close vision requirements due to computer work 

  • Adequate hearing for effective communication in-person and/or on the telephone 

  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously.

  • The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be present.
