Job Description

We’re a fast-growing software consulting firm delivering impactful solutions to global clients. As we scale, we're seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead our internal IT operations in Brazil, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and ready to support a modern, distributed workforce.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise IT infrastructure and expertise in Azure Cloud, Intune, Microsoft Defender, network security, Palo Alto Firewalls, and cybersecurity tools, and should live in Florianópolis or nearby areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

Top 5 Responsibilities

  1. Oversee cloud infrastructure for internal systems, including provisioning, access controls, and best practices.
  2. Maintain and secure internal network infrastructure, including VPNs and firewall configurations.
  3. Lead implementation and management of internal security controls.
  4. Deploy and maintain systems that support secure access and threat mitigation.
  5. Collaborate with leadership to uphold compliance with security standards.

Other Responsibilities

  • Manage endpoint compliance, updates, and protection across distributed teams.
  • Ensure proactive monitoring and incident response processes are in place.
  • Provide internal IT support for users, systems, and hardware setup.
  • Oversee laptop provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, and device lifecycle management.
  • Define and maintain change control policies, IT documentation, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Maintain and secure internal network infrastructure, including VPNs and firewall configurations.
  • Monitor traffic, implement network segmentation, and maintain strong access policies.
  • Conduct ongoing network assessments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Lead implementation and management of internal security controls.
  • Deploy and maintain systems that support secure access and threat mitigation.
  • Collaborate with leadership to uphold compliance with security standards.

Nice to Have:

  • ISO 27001 familiarity.
  • Azure Cloud (VMs, identity, networking).
  • Experience with VPN setup, intrusion prevention, and traffic analysis.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • 8–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and security.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, endpoint management, and network security.
  • Ability to define processes and enforce best practices in a fast-paced, tech-driven company.
  • Advanced English

Preferred Experience With:

  • Microsoft Azure (identity, networking, compliance)
  • Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
  • Microsoft Defender for endpoint security
  • Palo Alto Firewalls and related security policies
  • Cybersecurity tools like EDR, MFA, PAM, and ZTNA

Certifications (a plus):

  • Azure Security Engineer
  • Palo Alto PCNSE
  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or equivalent
