Job Description
As IT Manager, the implementation and upkeep of the Property Management System (Opera) will be your main responsibility. You will need to ensure that the PMS is up to date with the most current version as instructed by Corporate IT, then assist authorized users in relation to hotel operations and support team members with their personal computers. You are responsible for the coordination and timely handling of any software fault reports or enhancement requests as well as providing technical assistance to internal and external audit staff.

Maintain and oversee the hotel's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and internet connections, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.

Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard sensitive data and IT systems from potential threats or breaches.

Data Backup and Recovery:

Ensure regular data backups and establish robust recovery protocols to prevent data loss in the event of system failures or other emergencies.

Test backup systems periodically to confirm data integrity and recoverability.

System Integration and Upgrades:

Coordinate with Corporate IT and third-party vendors to implement new systems and integrations that enhance operational efficiency.

Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades with minimal disruption to hotel operations.

User Training and Support:

Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of IT systems and ensure they can operate them effectively.

Provide prompt support to users experiencing technical issues, ensuring swift resolution to minimize operational downtime.

Prepare and manage the IT department's annual budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of equipment and services.

Monitor expenditures and negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing for IT resources.

Ensure all IT operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.

Maintain accurate records of system configurations, licenses, warranties, and service agreements.

Collaborate with department heads to identify IT needs and propose tailored solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Communicate effectively with Corporate IT to stay aligned with company-wide initiatives and updates.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the hospitality industry to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Regularly review IT processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Crisis Management:

Develop and maintain IT contingency plans to ensure business continuity during emergencies, such as system outages or cyberattacks.

Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related crises and lead the response efforts to restore normal operations.

Qualifications
- Graduate from work-related School/University
- Preferable prerequisite is four years experience in hotel business.
- Deep knowledge in computer: Hardware, Software, Data Base, and Networking.
- Well experienced in systems design, analysis and project implementation, central reservation system, back office modules and interfaces.
