The IT Manager, Analytics, will manage PulteGroup’s Data and Analytics team from the company’s corporate office in Atlanta. We seek a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering successful IT and business outcomes. This role will require cross-collaboration and partnership with team members across multiple states/functions.

As the manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Analytics Team, developing the team’s roadmaps, recruiting talent, and directly overseeing the team. This is a “Playing Coach” position, and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to develop analytics solutions and maintain self-service analytics tools, as well as perform project management tasks and facilitate cross-functional collaborative efforts. 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manage work across multiple information systems and projects while overseeing team leadership, engineering, and support staff within the IT department. This includes recruiting, coaching, and developing talent, as well as managing professional growth plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish team goals aligned with departmental objectives, and build strong partnerships with IT leadership, including Enterprise Architecture, Directors, Managers, and Project Managers.
  • Lead problem management teams to address high-complexity enterprise issues and manage vendor relationships for hardware and software solutions.
  • Champion IT strategy within functional units and support the execution of data governance efforts while managing self-service analytics tools.
  • Develop project plans, manage stakeholders and risks, assign tasks to team members, and ensure initiatives align with overall team goals.
  • Write mid-year and year-end performance reviews for managerial approval, monitor performance against goals, and approve PTO/Vacation requests in accordance with HR policies.
  • Assist in defining enterprise IT policies to protect information assets and maintain organizational effectiveness by supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

Required Education/Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, a field related to the position, or a combination of related education and work experience in Data Architecting equivalent to five years. 
  • 5 + years in a System Analyst, Data Analyst role, or Data Modeler role working with complex systems
  • Minimum of 5-3 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Experience building buy-in for complex solutions
  • Experience with self-service analytics tools such as Power BI and Alteryx, preferably in a role supporting the enterprise-level roll-out of the self-service initiatives.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
  • Experience with configuration and deployment of applications on Windows Servers, SQL Databases, IIS, Windows Services, and Scheduled Tasks
  • Experience with cloud-based data technologies
