Position Description: 12-16 MONTH TERM Internship
This is not a call centre job - You will not be stuck at a desk with a phone glued to your ear. It involves on-going face to face contact with end users at all levels and functions of the organizations. Some exciting challenges; some mindless “grunt work”; a lot of variety!
What You’ll Do:
Your responsibilities will include:
• PC and application support to users by manning the IT Help Desk
• Manage and prioritizing the IT Help desk tickets including logging, answering and closing
• IT hardware/software installations
• Taking on projects including equipment installations, systems administration, database development, organizing and delivering user training sessions and others as required
Basic Qualifications:
• Enrolled in post-secondary school in Computer Sciences or equivalent
• A flair for customer service
• The ability and desire to learn, handle responsibility, and work independently
• The ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with PC's
You will learn:
• IT Technical troubleshooting in a network environment
• How business/manufacturing organization's function
• Time management/prioritization
