Purpose of the role
Global Blue is a global company operating, amongst others, in the field of VAT refunds to travellers, and is a leading company with the largest amount of TFS transactions in Japan.
Innovation Technology team is responsible to explore new services and technologies to our fast-growing business in Japan.
The holder of this position will actively explore new services and technologies for Japan, and support IT Manager, Innovation Technology, Japan.
He/she should be knowledgeful to the all local/central systems, services and features, and also to the latest technologies/trends.
e/she should not only gather the business requirements but also has to develop applications, prepare demo environments by him/herself.
Responsibilities
Work with IT Manager, Innovation Technology, Japan.
Close communication with internal and external stakeholders required, like Country Management Director, commercial team, refund counter operator, merchants, external vendors in order to get the ideas of the new services which customers want.
Also have to be aware of market trends in order to think about innovative features which customers are unaware of.
For the possible ideas, he/she should be able to plan and develop by him/herself.
In some cases, deadlines may be prioritized and external vendors may be used, and project management process should be followed for that.
Once the pilot has been successfully completed, prepare BRS to discuss with Central teams / external development vendors to implement that features.
In addition to software-related knowledge and know-how, hardware-related knowledge and know-how are also important. It's equally important to consider user experience.
Qualifications and education requirements
- IT or Technology education;
- 7+ years of practical experience of a similar position.
- Rich experience of developing front end solutions (Include requirements definition, UI, IF, Form design, error handling design)
- Rich experience of developing Multi platform applications (Windows, iOS, Android)
- JAVA, C# programming skill
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects / work streams within projects
- Excellent communication skills across international teams
- Excellent organizational, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Work experience within an international/multicultural environment preferred
- Project Management Certification (PMI, IPMA) is a plus;
- Knowledge of AI is a plus;
- Experienced on Payment Systems/Solutions is a plus;
- Excel VBA programming skill is strongly required in order to automate various daily processes;
- Independent and self-motivating personality, able to work under remote management;
- Strong resolution orientation, interpersonal, communication and organization skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and present ideas clearly and concisely;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills, with detail oriented.
- Native Japanese language skills (oral & written)
- Business level English language skills (oral & written)
