We are seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Engineer with experience in both managed hardware and cloud-based infrastructure. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining systems and networks for our organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and address hardware, software and networking issues
- Monitor system performance
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software
- Provide training to users on processes, procedures, and new systems
- Research and evaluate new technologies
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years professional experience in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in Windows desktop and Linux operating systems
- Ability to develop scripts to automate tasks and manage systems
Desired Knowledge and Experience:
- Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and MacOS operating systems
- Virtualization technologies including XenServer and VMWare
- Active Directory/LDAP, including GPO management
- Networking experience, especially using Cisco IOS
- VLANs and VPN tunnel technologies
- Script and automation environments
- Network security, including ACL management and firewall configuration
- Work in a secure data center environment
- Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Entra cloud services
- Hadoop/HDFS/MapReduce environment
- Hive query environment
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, OracleSQL environments
- Redis
- IBM Hardware
- Familiarity with Automated Monitoring (e.g. Nagios)
