Requires BS/BA or equivalent plus 6-8 years in related field.
Analyzes changes of IT product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change. Coordinates with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting. Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May direct and lead others. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination among technical, management, and science teams for the migration of NCEI computing assets to the cloud
- Create and maintain data diagrams, sequence diagrams, and flow diagrams
- Create and maintain project timelines and roadmaps
- Maintain version-controlled project documents
- Attend planning, coordination, and status meetings for NCEI cloud migration project
- Record meeting notes
- Track project status
- Prepare detailed reports for management

- Understanding of on-prem server and storage operations
- Proficient in Google Suite of products, Confluence, and Jira
