Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our IT organization focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of IT optimization projects resulting from mergers and acquisitions. This role requires a strong understanding of a wide variety of IT systems, excellent project management skills, tremendous collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT Optimization projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all objectives are met within the stipulated time and budget constraints.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, legal, and business unit stakeholders, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management strategies.

  • Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on milestones, deliverables, and potential issues.

  • Facilitate the integration of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure from acquired companies into Motorola Solutions' IT ecosystem.

  • Drive the optimization of IT operations post-M&A to achieve efficiencies, cost savings, and enhanced performance.

  • Ensure that all IT Optimization activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and overseeing the performance of third-party service providers.

  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices for future M&A activities.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record of managing complex IT projects with multiple stakeholders in a corporate environment.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and system integration.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with project management tools and software.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide thought leadership to influence decision makers.

  • Self-motivated, work independently or as a team, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate problem solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication and scheduling among different levels of staff.

  • Ability to perform under pressure, handling interruptions and changes without losing productivity and plan assignments and monitor performance according to priorities as demonstrated by regularly meeting established deadlines.

  • Ability to provide consistent follow through with the Team Manager and IT Project manager on issues/concerns to ensure appropriate visibility and escalation where needed.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercising discretion and tact.

Target Base Salary Range: $86,500 USD - $173,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Note: Candidate can reside anywhere in the US.
