The Opportunity
We are a leading natural gas transmission company that provides safe, reliable, and efficient energy solutions to businesses and communities across the country. Our company is dedicated to delivering high-quality services that help our customers achieve their goals while promoting sustainable and responsible energy practices. We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our development team to support our commercial application.
What You'll do:
- Gather and document business requirements for software development projects
- Analyze and evaluate complex business problems and recommend solutions
- Develop detailed functional specifications and design documents for software development teams
- Work collaboratively with software developers, QA analysts, and project managers to ensure the software solution meets business and technical requirements
- Participate in software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the software meets specifications and user requirements
- Participate in project planning and monitoring activities, including estimating timelines and effort for software development tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
- Experience in natural gas transmission, energy, or related industries preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple project priorities and deliverables
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, and Git
