About the role:

As an IT Architect, you’ll help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.

What you will be doing:

• Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.
• Documenting functional product solutions as well as key FIS financial services opportunities.
• Maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.

What you will need:

• Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
• Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.
• Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
• A bachelor’s in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.

Added bonus if you have:

• 7 years’ experience as a solution architect. Architectures across multiple tiers, incorporation of 3rd party or otherwise hosted solutions, considerations for performance/scale, etc.. When interviewed will be requested to architect a solution given a scenario.
• 5 + years AWS solutioning experience. Must know how to architecture solutions leveraging Lambda, S3, Fargate, ALB, Redis, CloudWatch, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Postgres, API gateway. HA / DR concepts achieved through AWS Regions and availability zones
• 7 years java development experience. Not expected to develop solutions but looking for an architect with an engineering background. Must know core Java, Threading/Completable futures, SpringBoot, MVC/WebFrameworks, REST, Data access, etc...
• 5 years exposure to Client side SPA technologies such as React and/or Angular.
• 5 years CI/CD concepts/tools experience. Git, Harness, pipelines
• Knowledge of NodeJS, Python, Apigee API, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Azure A a plus

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $138,600.00 - $232,850.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
