Job Summary:
Responsible for the definition, oversight, coordination and development of technology designs, along with the related road maps and lifecycle management.
Essential Functions:
- Aligns efforts across the various technical architectural disciplines within the company to develop innovative and appropriate architectures and roadmaps that enable the enterprise to deliver best-in-class services to their clients, partners and employees
- Provide overall architecture guidance, governance, and recommendations in support of technical objectives
- Work with the department leadership in establishing technology architecture strategy, goals, and objectives
- Partner with peers within all Information Technology groups to promote architecture principles, standards, methods, and strategic direction for the enterprise
- Facilitate overall analysis, design, artifacts, and technical requirements validation for strategic initiatives
- Lead / participate in vendor architecture related assessments and reviews
- Develop technical architectures that will drive reduced cost, increased availability, improved security, client experience, and greater flexibility
- Assist in performing IT due diligence on growth opportunities; identify the potential technology risks and opportunity concerning the technical environment by analyzing and assessing target companies
- Sets day-to-day objectives and delivers job responsibilities that may vary outside typical norms or practices. Work consists of tasks that are occasionally not routine and often works independently and is required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures
- Problems and issues faced are occasionally vague, and may need some analysis to understand. Makes adjustments to work methods to solve problems that may not be immediately evident in existing work processes and systems. However, may have references or help from norms and/or standard procedures to solve these problems
- Design and implement Hyper-V solutions to meet business requirements.
- Monitor and optimize performance of Hyper-V environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture and procedures.
- Provide support for escalated issues and performance tuning.
- This position requires participation in rotating on call and monthly patching maintenance.
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- A minimum of seven (7) years of IT and/or relevant business experience, to include a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an architect, technical lead, or business analyst, and three (3) years of experience in a relevant domain, such as software engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure, network, storage, information management, organizational development, or business processes
- Experience with Windows Server administration and related technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in virtualization technologies, specifically Microsoft Hyper-V, background with VM migration of other virtualization products to Hyper-V is a plus.
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Hyper-V infrastructures.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of Hyper-V environments.
- Experience with storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and network configuration for virtualized environments.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery solutions and backup strategies for Hyper-V.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking principles.
Additional Skills (Optional but Preferred)
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with other virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (AKS, Docker).

Compensation Range:
$90,500.00 - $158,400.00
