IT Administrator

What you’ll do:

• Hybrid: This role requires an onsite presence 3–5 days per week depending on the needs of the business. Flexibility and responsiveness to shifting in-person demands is essential.

• End-User Support: Provide first-line support for end users onsite in Germany, including support and management of Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, iPadOS, and iOS devices. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, while monitoring and prioritizing support tickets and requests. Support extends to peripheral devices such as printers, monitors, and other peripherals.

• Employee IT Onboarding/Offboarding: Conduct IT onboarding for new employees, including access setup, equipment configuration, and training for applications, policies, and procedures, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Hardware retrieval and software revocations for terminations. 

• Audio-Visual Equipment Management: Setup and maintain audio-visual equipment for meetings in conference rooms, ensuring all systems are functional and ready for use. 

• Asset and License Management: Assist with procurement and lifecycle management of physical assets and software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimal resource allocation. 

• Systems & SaaS Administration: Administer and support a hybrid infrastructure including virtual machines, firewalls, networks, and operating systems (Windows, Linux). Manage and configure cloud-based business applications such as Google Workspace, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Slack, and Zoom, ensuring secure access and optimal functionality across platforms.

Who you are:

• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users, explain technical concepts in simple terms, and provide clear instructions for issue resolution. 

• Apply critical thinking and analytical abilities to diagnose complex technical issues, prioritize support tickets, and implement efficient solutions in a timely manner. 

• Exhibit strong knowledge of virtual machine management, Windows and Linux server administration, firewall configuration, and network management to maintain and optimize IT infrastructure. 

• Demonstrate exceptional skills in creating clear, comprehensive, and standardized technical documentation that captures IT support procedures, troubleshooting workflows, and system configurations. Develop and maintain detailed process guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles that enable knowledge transfer, support consistent service delivery, and facilitate efficient onboarding and training for IT team members.

• Language Requirements: Fluency in both German and English is required. Must be comfortable communicating technical information to a diverse audience, both in writing and in conversation.
