We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the administration and maintenance of our IT operations, providing support for network operations and troubleshooting users’ issues. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot basic network issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on servers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in LDAP.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-related issues, including system performance and application errors.
- Participate in the implementation of security measures to safeguard the organization's data.
- Document processes and procedures related to system administration tasks.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of network operations, including familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec/SSL VPN, and routing concepts.
- Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of system administration tools and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash) is an advantage but not required.
- Basic understanding of information security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network security tools and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
This position may require occasional after-hours support or on-call duties.
