As an IT Administrator, you’ll work with the Security and Engineering teams to manage IT systems and ensure smooth daily operations. Your focus will be on asset management, user accounts, and security, supporting a fast-paced, distributed team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Manage hardware (laptops, monitors) and software (licenses, subscriptions) across the organization. Maintain IT inventory and coordinate procurement, repairs, and returns.
- User & Identity Management: Oversee user accounts, access permissions, and authentication for internal systems (e.g., Google Workspace, IaaS providers). Support new hires with onboarding.
- Security Support: Assist with endpoint protection, encryption, and firewall configurations in collaboration with Security and Engineering teams.
- Engineering Support: Provide technical support for development tools and environments, assist with system updates, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Day-to-Day IT Support: Resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network connectivity. Monitor and maintain system performance.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain IT documentation, create user guides, and provide training on new tools and security practices.
- 2-4 years of experience in IT support or administration, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment.
- Familiarity with asset management, account provisioning tools, and IT ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, Linux, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices (VPNs, MFA, endpoint protection).
- Experience with tools like Jamf, Intune, Okta, Google Workspace, and Docker.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Bonus Skills:
- Experience with scripting (BASH, Python) or automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, Security+).
- Familiarity with DevOps and engineering environments.
