As a  IOT DEVOPS Software Engineer is going to be part of the IET Indusrty 4.0 team and you will be responsible to:  

• create the infrastructure, install and develop SW and drivers (e.g. SQL express, Cimplicity, IGS), assist equipment connection to Operational technology network deployment, configure field agents server SW solution and SCADA systems to allow communication data to flow from the asset to the IET industry 4.0 ecosystem 

• Support already implemented solutions. Diagnose and resolve issues when reported around loss of communications, unexpected behaviors and problems related to Edge technology configuration.

• Deliver RCA and define CAPA in order to drive operational excellence

To be successful in this role you will:

• The candidate will need to have at least 1-2 years past experience as back end developer with in depth understanding of SCADA, Industrial protocols, windows networking and SQL server. 

• The candidate needs to have experience on Edge connectivity Operations 

• Attend meetings with Customers to assist with Machine controls identification, evaluation of 3rd party solutions for device communications and recommend best methods and protocols. 

• Assist with requirement gathering / develop interface specifications for developers creating custom adapters / interfaces with industrial devices or other OT systems as needed 

• Custom CIM HMI Screens development, work with customer to generate user stories, acceptance testing and final revisions after implementation. 

• Demonstrate / train end users on custom screens 

• Create documentation 

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. 

• Good organizational and time-management skills. 

• Great interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Fluent in English 

• Availability to work during 9 AM / 6 PM shift in CET timezone. Main location will be Florence plants however the position is also smartworking eligible

• Good experience with following technologies: Docker, Jenkins, RabbitMQ and Swagger is a plus

• Familiarity with AWS main services as S3, ALB, EC2, ECS, RDS is a plus

• Familiarity with following programming languages: Python, Groovy and AWS Lambda is a plus
