The mission of the Investments Department is to responsibly manage JM Family's investable assets through adherence to a rigorous process, building strong relationships, and promoting an intellectually stimulating collegial environment to ensure long-term value creation for all JM Family Stakeholders.
Under the guidance of the Director of Investments, the Investment Portfolio Manager will be an integral part of the Investments Team and will be responsible for all aspects of their assigned manager relationships. The position is primarily responsible for reviewing and selecting private market funds which span private equity, venture capital, and private credit and will serve as the primary point of contact for key manager relationships. The candidate will develop, implement and maintain best investment analysis practices in a high-performance and team-based culture. This position has no direct reports but may oversee special projects or assignments as delegated by the CIO or Investments Director.
Responsibilities:

Monitor portfolio of assigned investments and conducting portfolio review meetings, preparing notes, and assessing investment outlook

Prepare investment portfolio performance reports, including analytics, exposure, performance and attribution, and other miscellaneous reports

Sourcing and underwriting new investment opportunities using rigorous quantitative and qualitative due diligence across private equity, private credit, and real estate

Prepare investment recommendations

Communicates analysis of investment opportunities, results, and recommendations via verbal and written reports and presentations, including preparing qualitative and quantitative reports, investment brief, PowerPoint presentation, and spreadsheets, as applicable

Assist in the review of annual capital market assumptions and asset allocation in conjunction with investment consultant

Assists in preparation for Investment Committee meetings including agendas, presentations, and other related materials

Contributes to ongoing process improvements

Promotes organizational efficiency through high professional standards

Lead projects on research and operational projects, as assigned

Monitor capital markets and economic conditions and proactively make recommendations for investment strategies in response

Work collaboratively with legal, operations, and corporate departments on legal negotiations for new investments, performance reporting, and ongoing monitoring of existing investments

Qualifications:

7+ years of related investment management / analytical experience

CFA / CAIA designation strongly preferred

Strong sense of teamwork

Exceptional knowledge of MS Office Products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams Files, OneNote, Shared group Outlook Calendar and Mailbox
