About the Role

The purpose of the role is to provide investment management services and/or investment advice to a range of clients.
Responsibilities:

Focus on AUM growth by following up on leads, developing and nurturing both existing and new relationships with private clients and intermediaries locally in Jersey as well as in Quilter Cheviot International’s target markets such as Dubai, South Africa & Switzerland

Working independently as well as alongside the other Investment Managers to maintain client relationships and demonstrate an active approach to client contact ensuring that service levels remain at very high levels for all.

Execute and implement trades across client portfolios ensuring that they remain inline with the agreed mandate and within the Quilter Cheviot investment parameters.

Attract, develop and retain a portfolio of client relationships to maximise asset and revenue growth by meeting client’s needs, including managing client assets on a discretionary or execution only basis as well as introducing other products and services according to the overall strategy of the firm.

Actively contribute to the Quilter Cheviot International’s Investment Forum, working alongside colleagues to ensure that best ideas are shared and implemented into our client portfolios.

Demonstrate an active and collaborative approach to networking both locally in Jersey and Quilter Cheviot International’s target markets such as Dubai, South Africa & Switzerland

Actively engage and support team, office and business wide marketing activities.

Ensure that client suitability is kept up to date and is completed within the required timeframes.

Ensure that all client portfolios remain compliant on BITA risk.

To assess existing and potential clients’ circumstances, investment objectives and attitude to risk, and recommend appropriate Quilter Cheviot services as relevant.

To ensure that any investment advice and decisions to trade are suitable for the client, taking into consideration their individual circumstances.

To ensure that all client relationships are properly documented, and all required information is obtained from the client on a timely basis, ensuring where relevant that “know your client” information is maintained up-to-date and properly documented.

To provide investment advice appropriate to the client’s needs, and in compliance with all relevant rules, regulations and in-house policies and procedures.

To have a clear understanding of the client’s investment objectives, risk profile, investment experience and financial resource and be clear about the transactions effected for clients under a discretionary mandate.

To attend and participate in relevant company meetings as required in the various other aspects of the Quilter Cheviot investment selection process.

Fully understand and adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and internal processes, policies, and procedures of the firm.

About You

An ability to generate new business and client relationships

Must hold professional qualifications as specified by the relevant regulatory authority and the Company’s T&C Scheme.

Experience within the investment management industry is essential.
