Join us as an Assistant Relationship Manager
- We’re looking for a team player to build and maintain good commercial relationships across the bank and with our clients in the Institutional Banking business
- You’ll be delivering exceptional customer service and generating new business from customer relationships
- This is an opportunity to get great exposure across the business by participating in client facing activities and working with a highly experienced team of relationship managers

What you'll do
We’re looking for someone to proactively participate as a member of our team, sharing best practices with colleagues and always striving to exceed expectations. You’ll be a point of contact for enquiries, dealing with issues and queries to make sure customer service is of the highest standard. You’ll also need to develop relationships across all areas of the business and work with relationship managers to achieve business, through the development and management of shadow portfolios and customer referrals.
You’ll also be:
- Supporting relationship managers to achieve growth targets
- Participating as a member of a highly motivated team, sharing best practices and coaching less experienced colleagues
- Owning, managing, identifying and reporting the risks which exist in the business area
- Handling taking on new clients and holding meetings with customers
- Maintaining and updating client records to show any changes in their status
The skills you'll need
To excel in this role, you’ll need to have experience of providing superior customer service. You’ll also need excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues. We’re also looking for someone with good numeracy skills and a strong educational background.
You’ll also be expected to have:
- knowledge of business applications
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- An awareness of risk in a financial environment
- Attention to detail and strong levels of accuracy
