Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Manager, Investment, CLM hub responsible for comprehensive financial analysis, including due diligence, credit rating, valuation, and investment proposal development for CLM investments. Manages cash, liquidity, and investment execution, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Oversees portfolio risk, tracks performance, and reports to the Investment Committee. Serves as a key liaison with counterparties, regulators, and stakeholders.
What are we expecting from this role?
- Perform financial due diligence, credit rating, bond pricing, business valuation, and make investment proposals to get required approval on investment cases in CLM.
- Work with CLM compliance team in performing sanction screening and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) due diligence of investing counterparties.
- Support CLM legal team in seeking regulatory approval for investment cases that need regulator’s approval.
- Oversee cash, liquidity management, and investment execution of CLM.
- Lead in reporting investment performance to CLM Investment Committee (IC) through quarterly IC meeting or ad-hoc basis (if needed).
- Review investment portfolio risk by monitoring credit limit application, portfolio duration, credit ratings and financial covenants of counterparts quarterly.
- Tracking investment performance by calculating gross and net investment yield monthly for CLM.
- Perform annual and ad-hoc CLM credit limit review and seek required approval.
- Assist in reviewing, updating or creating investment related policies for CLM.
- Collaborate with CLM risk and compliance team in performing annual risk and compliance exercises.
- Continuously work with CLM compliance and legal team to understand the local regulatory requirements on investment practices and ensure compliance.
- Maintain relationships and act as a key contact person with counterparties, securities firms, relevant regulators and other stakeholders.
Who is the right fit for this role?
- At least 5 years in investment evaluation, financial due diligence or in similar fields, preferably in Insurance, Investment Bank or International Accounting firms.
- A bachelor’s degree in banking and finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively and efficiently assess and execute investment cases within the due course
- Capability in thinking critically and identifying appropriate solutions
- Distinctive ability to analyze complex financial and non-financial data, and market trends to deliver an informative investment proposal.
- Knowledge of capital markets and economic trends in Cambodia, Lao and Myanmar.
- Multi-industry knowledge to evaluate business profile of investing companies from different sectors.
- Advanced knowledge in specific calculations for valuation, modeling, and forecasting such as discounted cash flow model, portfolio construction model, pricing, Sharpe ratio, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced MS Excel, MS Words, and MS Powerpoint skills, and familiar with market intelligence platforms (Capital IQ, Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv, etc).
