The Enterprise Data Office plays a crucial role in maturing our data capabilities to support the organization. We are focused on making trusted and relevant data easily accessible to our stakeholders across Capital Group, specifically the Investment Group.
As a Data Product Manager, you have the power to create and evolve existing reusable data products and develop an inspiring vision and roadmap to drive the business forward. You will help identify customer needs, to ensure the products built will meet data management best practices and customer expectations, ultimately providing value to the customer and organization. The product manager will be the liaison between stakeholders and engineering teams, driving requirements, managing priorities and planning outcomes.
Specifically for this role, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class reporting solutions for our investment group business management partners. You will optimize dashboards to allow leaders to present these insights in their forums. You will transform complex data sets into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making at the senior management level. You will develop a deep understanding of the data tables and calculations to be able to respond to business leader questions and write clear requirements for engineering. This role bridges data, technology, and investment management, ensuring seamless delivery of impactful business intelligence solutions.

· You have 3-5+ years of Product Management experience with a proven history of successfully launching and scaling products.
· You have Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field with knowledge of asset management business.
· You have proficiency in complex data analysis, manipulation, and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Tableau.
· You will develop a deep understanding of upstream/downstream systems and processes to shape data modeling design and impact to adjacent systems.
· You will establish strong partnerships with internal teams and stakeholders, fostering continuous feedback loops to understand their data-related needs.
· You have led the design and operationalization of technology-based solutions focused on enhancing data quality, metadata governance, taxonomy management, data lineage, business definitions, and data policy enforcement.
· You will drive product discovery, requirements definition, and feature prioritization, leveraging product management best practices.
· You will act as a translator between technical teams and business users, ensuring clear communication, alignment of deliverables, and expectation management.
· You will define and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the investment group executive dashboards by assimilating user, technology, and stakeholder inputs into a cohesive plan.
· You have experience translating the strategy into a product roadmap, prioritizing features that have the most significant impact on our data customers and the business.
· You will visualize complex data sets, such as portfolio performance, risk metrics, AUM trends, fund flows, and market benchmarks.
· You will deliver features iteratively to address business challenges.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858-$218,973
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
