The Opportunity
Our Supply Chain Internship provides a meaningful, professional, hands-on experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. We hire students majoring in Supply Chain/Engineer/Business/Science into our programs based on business needs. Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
Abbott’s global business enables you to work in a variety of fields, which may involve a number of the following activities:

Market research, data analysis, and trend forecasting

New product introduction (NPI) support including logistics planning and supplier negotiations
-
Review of site master data – safety stocks, lead times
-
Build out SAP training documentation and establish statistical trending of raw material supply issues
-
Support supplier sustainability program and global manufacturing sites with Product Stewardship Program deliverables

Procurement, warehouse oversight, and planning

Participation in compliance projects to meet global trade and regulatory requirements
Our Supply Chain Internship Program will involve working in one of the following locations based on assignment:

Galway
-
Sligo
What are we looking for?
Eligible applicants should be:
-
Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate Supply Chain/Engineer/Business/Science Qualification.

Excellent communicators, team players and Innovators.
-
Passionate about STEM and interested in pursuing a career in a STEM environment.
-
Candidates should be striving towards a 2.1 Grade in their degree course.

Available to commence a 9 or 12 month placement in 2025.

Flexibility to be based at one of our sites around Ireland
