Quandela is a spin-off company from the French national laboratory CNRS founded in 2017, with teams of quantum technology specialists with broad experience in semiconductor nanotechnologies, quantum optics and photonics, computer science, and quantum information, foundations and computing.
Located in the southern suburbs of Paris, with its main offices in Massy and fabrication facilities in the deep-tech campus of Paris-Saclay, Quandela is developing photonic quantum computing platforms, covering all areas of the computing stack from hardware to middleware, software and algorithms.

Your Mission at Quandela:
As part of our innovative team, you’ll have the chance to:
- Explore the World of Opto-Mechanics:
- Research and select the most suitable components from top opto-mechanics suppliers.
- Ensure components meet stringent performance and integration requirements.
- Innovate and Create:
- Design custom-made optical boards tailored to cutting-edge photonic applications.
- Balance creativity with technical precision to meet project goals.
- Master Precision Techniques:
- Develop and refine manipulation methods for small optical components (alignment, gluing, etc.).
- Leverage your dexterity and attention to detail in high-precision tasks.
- Push Boundaries with System Characterization:
- Characterize system efficiency across parameters like wavelength, time, and temperature.
- Use advanced tools and methodologies to gather insights that guide development.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who meets the following criteria:
- Hands-on Experience: Demonstrated experimental experience with optical components, including setup, alignment, and testing.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic proficiency in 3D modeling (e.g., CAD software) for optical and mechanical design.
- A background in engineering, photonics, mechanics, programming, physics, or related disciplines that equips you with the fundamentals to thrive in this role.
- Creative and Proactive: Possess a creative mindset with a problem-solving approach, energy, and autonomy to tackle challenges independently while seeking innovative solutions.
- Team Player: A willingness to collaborate and work effectively in a diverse and international team environment.
