Elekta’s Global Business Service Center is a Team based in Warsaw that provides recommendation of global best practices and ensures that improvement initiatives are delivered globally in consistent and quality-based way through standard processes and competent staff. We are in search of an Internal Control Coordinator reporting to the Vice President, Elekta Business Services.

What You’ll Do at Elekta  

We are offering a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Your role will include (but not limited to):

• Work with contacts across all departments monitoring and testing controls used to monitor Company internal controls and conduct ongoing training & education on internal control related topics.
• Review of end-to-end business processes, analysis and documentation of processes risks and gaps, and subsequent remediation of identified deficiencies with process owners, as well as further testing of the internal controls.
• Help drive internal control improvement initiatives across the Company to help improve the reliability, effectiveness and efficiency and compliance of financial and business related processes.
• Provide advice and counsel on any major process changes or system / process upgrades as it relates to internal controls and evaluate these changes to ensure there is no detrimental impact to the internal control environment
• Responsible for assuring implementation of the Elekta Internal Control Framework across the global organization by evaluating and challenging existing frameworks for process changes
• Support standardization and best practice sharing of control framework and processes across regions in cooperation with the businesses and functions
• Monitor assessments of existing internal controls to ensure they are documented adequately
• Actively managing relationships with both Internal and External Auditors to facilitate coordination and execution of internal control testing and promote efficiencies
• Monitor all internal control related activities globally and provide support and align with other internal control staff and systems experts regarding follow up on global activities
• Participate in a process of continuous improvement of the internal control framework
• Drive monitoring of Business Authority procedures and other applicable governance policies and procedures

What you bring

• Professional with a few years of experience in finance, controlling / accounting and reporting, and capable of identifying weaknesses in the framework
• Adequate expertise knowledge in Internal Control, compliance, design of operational processes and controls
• Strong business knowledge, experience in other functions is a plus
• MSc in Economics (MSc Accounting, Business Administration, or assimilated and/or CPA qualifications)
• English – advanced level (English speaking environment)
• PC skills: Word, Excel knowledge advanced
