How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

The Internal Auditor II position is responsible for completing internal audits that address operational, compliance, financial and regulatory risks. The position reports to the Manager of Internal Audit and may conduct audits under the direction of the Senior Director of Internal Audit and Manager of Internal Audit. This position will be required to complete audit fieldwork timely and accurately per stated audit standards.


A Day in the Life:

  • Completes audits in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and stated professional standards.
  • Prepares timely and accurate documentation of audit findings.
  • Communicates audit results and significance of audit findings to audit management.
  • Maintains confidentiality over audit information and audit results.
  • Writes clear and concise descriptions of audit findings including overall condition, cause and effect and when appropriate supplies value added recommendations for correction.
  • Contributes in the development of audit work plans.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by management.
  • Represents the Internal Audit department in a professional manner.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Previous experience performing internal audits and controls testing.
  • Current knowledge of healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards.

Role Designation:

Hybrid Remote

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely.  Onsite is full-time onsite.

Compensation and Benefits:

$67,200.00 - $89,100.00 - $111,000.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
