Responsible for assisting the IS technical team in providing services for general IT support activities. Orients hospitalized patients and families to in room technology and enrolls new families in MyChart/My Chart Bedside. Primary point of contact for troubleshooting technology issues with the MyChart Bedside tablets. Cleans and re-provisions iPads after patient discharge or transfer. Provides a positive point of contact at the start of the family experience.
Education
Associates degree in computer science, information systems, or a related program, with current enrollment in such a program, or equivalent knowledge.
Experience
Requires one year of customer service experience including conflict management situations.
Experience with personal computers and tablets.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.
Critical thinking skills required to make independent decisions and problem solve in a complex, fast paced environment.
PC troubleshooting knowledge or experience required.
Requires basic, current knowledge in one or more operating systems, including Windows.
Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues within the MyChart Bedside application as well as issues with the tablets on which the software is deployed
Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills are essential.
Exudes confidence and a calm demeanor when faced with stressful situations-effectively diffusing negativity.
Ability to assess demeanor of internal and external customers, adapting approach when faced with those impacted by stress or trauma
Ability to work independently or as a team.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.
Work is performed inside on a regular basis.
Some evening, weekend and holidays.
