The PositionThe opportunity

Automating the validation of a pharmacometric model building tool (Pharmpy/Pharmr) within Roche’s drug development environment

Supporting the improvement of Pharmpy/Pharmr using real pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) datasets

Attending department meetings to understand the impact of modelling and simulation on drug development

Pharmaceutical Sciences (PS) is a global function within Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED). As a team member in the Predictive Modelling (PM) chapter of PS, you will work in close collaboration with scientists in pRED, using brand new modelling and simulation tools.

The duration of the position is set for 6 months. You will be based in Basel, Switzerland
Who you are
-
Basic knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, as well as statistics (theory and application)

Demonstrated competence in coding in R (handling data, writing functions, reporting).

Basic knowledge of NONMEM
-
Working towards a Master’s degree (or recently completed it), or currently pursuing a PhD in a quantitative subject area (Pharmacometrics or a related field), with a strong curiosity about growing hands-on experience in Pharmacometrics within a drug development setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently, craft and perform experiments, interpret results, and explore new scientific methodologies

Proficiency in spoken and written English
The preferred start date of this internship is June 2025 at the latest.
