Job Summary:
The intern will assist in the day-to-day operational activities of SwiftRef Operations data management function under the supervision of the Head of SwiftRef Operations and/or other senior staff members. The main objective of this role is to provide support on the implementation of effective processes and controls related to Reference data management within the organization. This includes but not limited to managing customer queries pertaining to SSI (Standing Settlements Instructions), conducting periodic reviews of SSI information, preparing reports, and performing general administrative tasks as required by the team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Data collection and validation process to feed our central SwiftRef database
- Data management to build reference data through various sources
- Manage customer queries pertaining to discrepancy in reference data
- Ensure data collected from financial institutions is entered correctly in
SwiftRef database and that the data is updated on a regular basis
Job Qualifications:
- A degree/ currently pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, accountancy, or a related field
- Able to commit for a 6-month internship
- Strong communication skills and customer orientation, able to establish and
maintain collaborative and supportive interpersonal relationships with internal
and external customers
- Able to communicate fluently in English, other languages will be an added
advantage
- Basic knowledge about cross-border payments; knowledge of inbound and
outbound payment processes
- Dynamic, motivated, flexible, structured and well organized
- Stress resistance and ability to work independently
- Self-driven, wanting to make things happen
- Team player, who shares problems and solutions, pro-actively offers to help
others
