About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graphics UI Designer Intern to join our engineering team supporting the development of Infotainment and Cluster systems developed by HARMAN Automotive. As a Graphics UI Designer Intern, you will assist in maintaining and enhancing the company's Graphics UI design processes. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in Graphics UI design creation, understanding the Figma tool, and modification of Figma design files.
Education: BE/B.Tech
What You Need:
1. Graphic designer with an impressive portfolio.
2. Strong design fundamentals, including solid typography, composition, and great attention to detail.
3. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. Knowledge of 3D or other design tools is a plus.
4. A genuine passion for design and its impact.
5. Awareness of trends in design and technology.
6. Ability to explain design choices, follow guidelines, and develop new ones.
7. Experience in creating and maintaining design systems.
8. Skill in expanding on others’ ideas collaboratively.
9. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Graphic Design.
What You Will Do:
1. Modification of Figma Design Files: The Figma design files received from the OEM need to be adapted to our implementation structure. This task does not require a highly skilled designer; it can be accomplished by a fresher or intern with minimal training.
2. Training on Figma Tool: Training on the Figma tool can be provided within 1-2 weeks, allowing us to achieve immediate results on MSIL.
3. Moderate Design Efforts: We anticipate that moderate design efforts will be needed to adapt these files to our design implementation structure.
4. Immediate Design Modifications: Design modifications can be made promptly by creating appropriate design components and variables, presenting minimal risk with the intern approach.
5. Accelerated Development: This approach will help speed up development and resolve design file issues before implementation.
Learning Opportunities:
- Gain hands-on experience with modern graphics design creation tools like Figma.
- Work closely with a skilled team of graphics designers and learn industry best practices.
- Exposure to real-world challenges in graphics design.
- Develop a deep understanding of user interface design principles and how they apply to automotive systems.
- Learn to balance creativity with technical constraints and requirements.
- Improve your skills in presenting and defending design choices to stakeholders.
