As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern, you will assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis of financial performance. This role provides hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, market and economic trend research, and variance analysis. You will work closely with senior finance team members, gaining valuable insight into corporate financial planning and decision-making processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Budgeting Support: Maintain, update, and analyze budget activity; prepare and present variance analyses.

Forecasting Support: Assist with the forecasting process and evaluate company performance.

Financial Models: Support the development and enhancement of financial models to aid decision-making.

Variance Analysis: Review and analyze monthly and quarterly results, comparing actuals to budget and forecast.

Report Preparation: Assist in creating financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, data collection, and analysis processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Must be able to work onsite at our Oak Brook, IL office (15 miles west of Chicago) at least three days per week.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables).

Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau, Power BI)

Interest in financial modeling, long-range planning, and developing business-driving metrics.
The pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / per hour; hourly pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
