As Ciena is evolving his supply chain model in Mexico, an additional associate buyer position is being created to support the growing amount of business in the Region. This is a full time Ciena position, to be based in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Essentials Responsibilities
This position is to support Ciena Guadalajara Purchasing Team, mainly in rework – reverse logistic activities. The main objective is to insure timeliness of units been return to vendors, for rework, repair, upgrade or change of flavor, depending on Ciena particular requirements for these units.
Ciena Buyers will train and supervise the final candidate, in the previously referred rework activities and some other activities related to purchasing process.
Required skills / behaviors
- Good interpersonal skills to work with Ciena Purchasing Team, EMS Partners and OEM Vendors.
- Fluency in English (85%) and Spanish Mandatory
- Excel´s knowledge and experience
- Manage big volumes of information
- Team oriented
- Self-starter
- Organized
- Attention to detail
Required Education and Experience
- Be currently a student in a University, at a 1 year to complete his/her Bachelor degree.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
