The Role
This role sits within the UK Integrated Marketing team reporting to the Head of Marketing for EMEA and Canada. Our team aims to increase share of voice and market penetration for Square by creating demand for our brand and products. We raise awareness and consideration of the brand so that all acquisition channels are more effective, and we drive qualified leads to the sales team. This person will be responsible for delivering marketing initiatives - predominantly via events and content - that achieve these goals. The role is critical at helping Square hit its ambitious growth goals in the UK by standing out vs the competition and by driving a healthy sales pipeline.

You Will

  • Own event marketing for the UK, which includes everything from intimate dinner events for our sales team to full scale trade show appearances. It includes events run by Square as well as events that we show up at in conjunction with partners.
  • Lead our hospitality programme, ensuring we create memorable experiences that help our sales team win.
  • Own content marketing for the UK including written content, video and webinars. This will include working with agencies / in-house teams to deliver bespoke UK content that hits brand, lead generation and customer acquisition goals. It will involve liaising with teams outside of the UK Integrated Marketing team, such as SEO, to ensure an effective, holistic content plan is delivered for the UK.
  • Own our product placement efforts, working with our agency to ensure solid exposure of our hardware in relevant film / TV programmes.
  • Report on the efficacy of the above work in standing forums, as well as reflexively.


You Have

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in marketing, with experience in both content marketing and events.
  • The ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running.
  • A solution-oriented mindset, and a bias to action.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, particularly with regards to reporting on marketing contribution to business performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • The desire to contribute positively to a growth-focused and team-orientated culture.
